Application of Proportional Electric Proportional Valve in Air Bag Pressure Control
Pneumatic tables and lifts require accurate and repeatable airbag control pressures. These workbenches and lifts require less maintenance than traditional hydraulic lifting tables because there are no fluid leaks and contamination of the processed product.
In this application, QB1 with PSR amplifier is used to inflate the airbag to raise and lower the workbench. Since the limit switch controls the height, changes in weight on the table will not affect the height. Single-loop control works well in this application because the response time decays just enough to compensate for back pressure and prevent oscillation.
Proportion-Air products can be used to control a single airbag or multiple airbags using the same device. Usually, a foot pedal or manual controller is used to provide a command signal to our equipment, telling us to fill (raise) or vent (lower) the pressure as needed.
