Proprotion-air as control valve pilot application
This image shows the position of the Proportion-Air's QB1 electronic pressure regulator to control the process control valve. Proportion-Air's electronic regulator pressure range is between full vacuum to 1000 PSI, and both are ideal for control valve pilots.
This shows a QB1 with a calibration of 3 to 15 PSI. Proportional air regulators are closed loop. Supply pressure fluctuations do not affect downstream pressure. The onboard pressure sensor has a monitor output signal which can be used for data acquisition. The installation position will not affect its pressure output, and no instrument air is required.
In addition, the traditional I to Ps consumes air in a steady state (higher operating cost), while the Proportion-Air QBX will shut down and maintain the required pressure downstream without consuming additional compressed air. Our QBX models are the perfect replacement for most I to Ps and E to Ps.
