Application of Proportion-air Electric Proportional Valve in Military G-Suit Simulation and Test
Military aircraft flight simulators often require G-suit simulation to reproduce the gravitational equivalent ("g-force") of flying. Accessed by a computer or PLC, the Proportion-Air electronic closed-loop proportioner can quickly inflate and deflate the airbag on the G-suit.
The pressure required for this application is very low and high repeatability is important. Proportion-Air's electronic regulator, such as the QB2 used here, can control pressures as low as 0 to 2 inches of water column. An analog output can be obtained from the regulator showing the bladder controlled pressure for data acquisition.
